Paveline’s equipment is a testament to its commitment to the environment, by virtue of utilising bitumen emulsion rather than traditional cutback bitumen.
Unlike cutback bitumen, bitumen emulsions are water based and:
- contain less cutter (kerosene) and use less energy than hot cutback bitumen;
- emit little to no greenhouse gases; and
- are capable of coating damp aggregate surfaces, which reduces the amount of fuel required for heating and drying of aggregates.
Paveline's commitment to environmental engineering continues with the introduction of HOT SHOTS, the electronic spray tip cleaning system which debuted at the CivEnEx Trade Show and the LoGov Exhibition in 2008.
- NO MESSY CLEANING
- NO KEROSENE NEEDED
- ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY (NO EPA WORRIES)
By designing a system which is solvent free the user saves in both purchase and disposal costs of solvents, and the cost of maintaining an audit system for these solvents is eliminated. Also, the risk of solvent spills on job sites and the potential fines are eliminated. This means our equipment will comply now and well into the future when further compliance measures are enforced.
